incase of the flooding but they closed it. >> to ktvu's lorraine blanco who is live in san francisco where the power has been out for most of the day in the sunset district. >> reporter: right now dozens of people are without power. pg&e crews hard at work trying to restore power. for crews across the bay area, the wild weather left quite a mess. >> reporter: heavy saturation toppled this pine tree today. blocking two lanes and blocking up computers in daily city. firefighters helping the chp. no one was hurt but it has been a while. >> our crews have been working all night. calls been very busy. 30 minutes sleep last night. very busy. >> reporter: in san francisco heavy winds and rain snapped this power pole before sun rise in the sunset district. >> when it happened there were tons of sparks and lightning. >> reporter: at one point 8400 customers lost power here. pg&e said they have been working all day to repair. >> the stuff in the freezer might be going. i missed the football game. not too bad. >> reporter: they agree. although the creek is high, it is fun to play in the puddle.

and this san francisco. as we take a look at the satellite and radar picture the wet weather is still to the north. it is not in the bay area just yet but the increase in cloud coverage. the of tech in wind later tonight and of course we have wet weather that will make landfall. the futurecast. mainly through santa rosa, petaluma just a light rain to begin. as we go for overnight this yellow is indicating moderate/heavy. that will continue to grow its way south. approaching the golden gate it. everybody will wake up to showers with areas of heavy rainfall for tomorrow. keep your umbrella candy. it is going to be wet with 4 in. of rain fall in the north bay and 1 in.-3 in. everywhere else 54 degrees expected in fairfield. 57 in the pleasanton, vallejo, livermore, your kron 4 7 day around the bay wet weather will stick around into the weekend. it is certainly going to be wet. but the good news is that the temperatures are not that bad. with low 40's. as we go for this monday, the slight possibility of rainfall. however, sunshine possible for the afternoon. mostly sunny skies for christm

since last hour. the same thing is for hayward. san francisco was the mormon spot at 41 degrees. we do have a freeze morning in affect for the north bay area. there is a frost revisory for the bay shore line and into your east bay until 8:00 a.m.. right now is 7 01 a.m.. >> we are not tracking any hot spots right now. here is a quick bridge check. the toll plaza is not too bad. it is about a 13 minute drive time out of the east shore freeway. it is about 18 to 20 minutes if you are coming from the macarthur mayes. highway 92 has not seen a spike in drive time. you can still get a cross in about 11 to 13 minutes. the golden gate bridge is an easy trip and still and easy ride on 1 01 southbound. >> on to our developing story. a body in an apartment complex was found. kron 4 urs will tran has been following the latest. >> around 1:00 the morning someone here off a teen is drive called the fire department after they noticed a fire in a storage unit. here is video earlier and they allow us to get a little closer. there is not a lot of damage but these are just items of the fire department b

the morning commute is looking good in san francisco off to a nice start approaching the downtown area. it's 5:00 let's go back to dave and pam. >>> at 5:00 we have breaking news coming in from campbell. firefighters just found a body as they rushed to an apartment house fire. janine de la vega is there. she's been there since 4:30 this morning. what is the very latest? >> reporter: the coroner is still here actually in the back of the apartment complex here on kiness drive. fire investigate evers are here on the scene trying to figure out how this fire started and who was the person who died here. at around 1:15 this morning residents at this apartment complex called 911 because they saw smoke coming from the carport at the complex. when they arrived firefighters discovered a storage unit under the carport was on fire. they distinguished it and opened up and found a body. police spoke to the owner of that storage unit and here's what the sergeant had to say. >> we have talked to the person who's belongings are in the storage unit. they are unaware of anything suspicious. they are unaware of a
